In recent years，with the increasing appeal of America society to science education quality requirements， and influenced by the related science education policies，different sectors of the society put forward new demands on American science teacher preparation. Based on the National Science Education Standards， Standards for Science Teacher Preparation and A Framework for K-12 Science Education：Practices，Crosscutting Concepts，and Core Ideas，this paper synthesize the latest appeals and characteristics and identifies the developmental trends of science teacher preparation in America.
