Integrating Engineering Practices into Elementary Science Education: the Connotation, Goal and Approach
As the increasing demands of the engineers all over the world， the integration of engineering practices into elementary science education has received much concerns with the advocacy of STEM education. This paper discusses the characteristics and the relationship between science and engineering education， interprets the definition and goal of integrating engineering practices into elementary science education. A mode which integrates scientific inquiry and engineering design is proposed for providing theoretical framework for engineering education in China.
