Generalization Strategies of Qualitative Research

Qualitative research has been constandy challenged of whether it can produce theories with sufficient explanatory power. By responding to this，， there are effective generalization strategies developed within qualitative research. Applying a idea experiment with a unified issuethis paper compares six strategies， and analyzes their logics， appropriateness， and disadvantages， Based on the analyses and the characteristics of qualitative research， this paper concludes that “thick description” and “relational case method＂ are the most effective measures to improve the explanatory power of qualitative research.
