A Study of Traditional Culture Education in England

英国人崇尚传统，珍爱自己的文化遗产，将学校教育视为文化复制、保护、传承、创 新或更新的重要途後，通过传统文化教育促进学生在精神、道德、文化和身体方面的发展是英 国国家课程的重要目标之一。英国在中小学主要通过语文、历史、地理、艺术与设计等正规课程 进行传统文化教育，并通过宗教教育、行为规范的养成进行道德熏陶和绅士风范的培养，同时 注重以多种形式、充分利用社会文化资源充实学校的传统文化教育。

Traditions and cultural heritages are highly treasured in England. School education is regarded as an important way to reproduce， protect， create and renew her traditional culture. One of the important objectives of the National Curriculum is to promote students’ spiritual， moral， cultural， social and physical development through traditional culture education. In primary and secondary schools， traditional cultural education is mainly carried out through formal subjects teaching in English language， history and geography， classic studies and art and design. In addition， schools develop students’ morality and gentlemen spirit through religious education and behavior fostering， attaching importance to using various forms and social cultural resources to compliment school education in this aspect.
