The Chinese Educators Association of Macau and Its Cultural and Educational Activities in the 1940s

澳门中华教育会创立于1920年，历史悠久，建树良多。20世纪40年代抗战时期，中华教育会积极联合澳门的侨团，策动救国工作。在极艰难的情况下，中华教育会先贤仍然义不容辞地推行国语运动，筹办民众学校及侨立图书馆，推动澳门的师范教育。中华教育会在澳门教育发展中做出了特殊贡献。

The Chinese Educator Association of Macau (CEAM) was founded in 1920， it has a long history and received lot of achievements. During 1940s Anti-Japanese War period， CEAM actively joint overseas compatriot education in Macau， instigated national salvation work. In very difficult circumstances， the CEAM remain duty-bound to implement the national language movement， organizing public schools and library， promoting Macao’s teacher education. CEAM made a special contribution to the development of education in Macao.
