中文摘要 | 本文探討的焦點是國內學術社群較為忽略的蘇格蘭小學教育。作者首先採用編輯分析的精神,將官方文件、蘇格蘭教學總會之出版品、報章之教育評論、相關的研究文獻以及實地參訪的資料均視為文本進行分析;其次,從學生、教師、課程與教學等三個面向描述蘇格蘭的小學教育;接著從臺灣的視角,借鑑蘇格蘭在特許教師、教師的年度專業評估與發展,加上學校的自我評鑑的經驗,最後以蘇格蘭野地常見的薊草為譬喻來總結本文。 |
英文摘要 | Focusing on Scotland, which has been ignored in Taiwan's educational community, primary schooling is briefly explored in this article. In terms of research method, text analysis has been employed. Official reports,published articles from GTCS, reviewed articles from newspapers, relevant researches as well as the observation from the researcher have all been regarded as text. The spirit of an editing style of analysis has been adopted in the process of data analysis. Three elements have been delineated in the second part of this article, i.e. student, teacher, d curriculum and teaching. In the third section of this article three educational issues emerging from Scotland are discussed from the perspective of Taiwan. The three issues are as follows: the chartered teacher, annual review and professional development as well as school self-evaluation.The metaphor of thistles on a cold windy day has been used to interpret Scottish education in the last part of this article. The image of beautiful thistles on a cold windy day manifests the strong will of the Scottish people to protect their own culture and education. |
