自2001年起，纽约市高中小型化改革以提高高中教育质量为目标，得以大力推进。纽约市小型高中模式构建主要从学k的管理主权、教学、治理和运作等几方面进行，高中小型化改革的成效主要体现在教学效果、学生表现、学校氛围、组织创新、教育平等几方面。

Aiming to raise the educational quality of the high schools，the high schools’miniaturization has been promoted greatly in New York. The model-forming of it has been fulfilled within management sovereignty， teaching，governance and operation， as reformed the malpractices the comprehensive high schools have. The effectiveness of the reform of miniaturizing the high schools mainly shows in improving teaching，bettering the stu-dentsfbehaviors，innovating school organization and realizing the educational equality.
