Development of an Algebra Dynamic Assessment System

代數概念的學習是孩童學習數學歷程中非常關鍵的一環，也是基礎數學教育的核心，而試算表融入數學課程對協助中、小學生了解數學樣式及函數頗具潛力。本研究採準實驗研究設計，利用試算表多重表徵與函數計算等功能，設計以試算表為輔具的系列代數作業，發展國民小學代數動態評量系統（Algebra DynamicAssessment System, ALDAS），以探討試算表融入代數動態評量系統的介入效益。實驗介入以線上解題的循序回饋，支援學生適切應用試算表的多重表徵和運算功能，實驗研究樣本為動態評量組（33人）與一般教學組（26人）共59位六年級學生，在介入前、中、後共進行三次數學自律策略覺察與數量關係能力評量，資料分析採HLM組別模式檢驗實驗處理對於實驗組學生的介入效益。結果顯示，實驗組學生數量關係能力成長顯著高於控制組（0.2個標準差），組別可解釋成長斜率36%的變異量，呈現試算表融入中、小學代數學習的積極潛力。

Algebra is the core of mathematics education because it can help students to integrate the mathematics content of school. Spreadsheet is a powerful tool to explore, particularly on algebra. The purpose of this study was to develop an algebra dynamic assessment system (ALDAS). The ALDAS integrated spreadsheets into algebra learning process for 6th graders. Thirty-three participants were assigned to the experimental group and the other twenty-six were the control group. The experimental group worked on algebra with spreadsheet. The criterion variable for detecting the effects of ALDAS was the growth slope on mathematics performance in a 3 months interval. The results indicated that students’ mathematical ability were effectively promoted, through the ALDAS. The implications of the results were also discussed.
