Going the Distance: Assessment and Implications of American On-line Higher Education———Based on the analysis from the Sloan 2011 Annual Report

美国从在线学习效果、战略规划、教师支持、资源开放、注册人数五个指标出发，评价在线高等教育质量：在线高等教育已经穿越了学的行为与教的行为在时空上的距离，真正通过现代电子信息技术使美国成为一个名副其实的在线国家。我们有必要在认真研究的基础上借鉴这一新的发展。

In America, the quality of online higher education is assessed from the perspective of online learning outcomes, strategies, faculty support, open education resources and students' enrollment. The conclusion is that the on-line higher education has passed through the distance of space and time between learning and teaching, which makes America become a true online nation by modern electronic IT. It is necessary for us to conduct systematic research on this newdevelopment and drawsome valuable references.
