中文摘要 | 人才培养是大学声誉的源泉。哈佛大学通过不断改进课程体系,推动了本科教育卓越。新生研讨课是哈佛在通识课程之外创建的一种课程形式,是有学分的学术性课程,它促进了新生与资深教授的密切接触和沟通,有利于养成大学生的批判思维和理性思维。国内研究型大学应当加强本科课程建设,通过新生研讨课等新的课程形式推动课程内容和教学方式的创新,通过教师教学培训、研究生助教等课程制度提高本科人才培养质量。 |
英文摘要 | Undergraduate education is the source of a university's reputation. Harvard University has made unremitting efforts to improve its curriculum system, thereby maintaining excellence in undergraduate education. Freshman seminar is a curriculum form with academic credits outside of Harvard general education courses, which proves to be an effective way to enhance contact and communication between senior professors and freshmen, and to develop students' critical and rational thinking. Chinese research universities should improve undergraduate curriculum development and talent cultivation quality by exploring new forms of curriculum such as freshman seminar, promoting the innovation of teaching content and methods, enhancing faculty development and taking full advantage of graduate teaching assistants. |
