中文摘要 | 研究开放英语教育零辍学现象的深层次原因,识别影响英语学习者不放弃学业的情感因素,对于探讨开放教育机构行动取向颇为有益。本研究在对来自广东省四所地市级电大的27位英语学习者进行质性研究的基础上,借助NVivo9分析软件分析了零辍学现象背后的情感因素。研究表明,情感因素是零辍学现象的重要影响因素;四所电大情感因素分布情况不一,各具特点;学习者主要采用面授为主、网络为辅的学习方式;教材、复习资料成为学习者意见的焦点。 |
英文摘要 | The goal of this article is to probe into the reasons why learners no longer drop out in the second term in the open English education programs, and to identify the hidden emotional factors influencing learners' actions. Findings can be quite useful to open educational administrators in their decision making. Using the NVivo9. 0 analysis software, the study explores the key emotional factors associated with the nil dropout rate through interviewing 27 learners from 4 branch schools of Guangdong Radio & TV University. Four conclusions were drawn from this study: 1) Among all the factors that affect learners' continuation with their studies, emotional ones are of greatest importance; 2) The emotional factors are distributed differently in four branch schools; 3) Most interviewees prefer face-to-face learning, but see online learning as a useful complimentary way of learning; 4) The current teaching materials and the available exam study materials are the focus of the learners' unsatisfaction. |
