英文摘要 | The Excellence Movement in the 1980s reflected the ideological conflicts during the restoration and modernization of conservatism. The conservatives controlled the educational policies through criticizing, producing and re-criticizing the conceptions and symbols of "Excellence". During the process, there were not only the conflicts between conservatism and progressivism, and radicalism, but also the conflicts within conservatism, that is, the conflicts between traditional conservatism and neo-conservatism. It further helped to rethink the unequal power behind the widely-accepted language symbols of "eternity", "common knowledge", and "science", etc. |
