Trends of Values Education in British Public Schools

20世纪后期以来，在民主化、全球化、信息化的时代背景下，英国政府为了提升教育水平、增强国际竞争力，在基础教育领域展开了一系列卓有成效的改革，促进了价值教育的发展。随着价值教育研究的深入、民主教学思想的推广、课程管理体制的变革和网络信息技术的应用，英国公立中小学的价值教育，在目标内容、途径方法、课程设置及考核评估等方面，日益呈现出综合化、民主化、统一化和网络化的发展趋势。

Since the late 20th century， in the background of democratization， globalization and informationalization， British government has launched a fruitful series of reforms in the field of basic education to improve the level of education and enhance international competitiveness， leading to the development of values education in British public schools. With deepening of values education research， spreading of democratic teaching ideas， changing of curriculum management system and applying of network and information technology， values education in British public schools increasingly presents the trends of integration， democratization， unification and network from various aspects of aim， content，way， approach， curriculum setting， examination and assessment.
