Research of the Academic Satisfaction of the New Students in Grade Seven and Its Influence Factors
Objective: to understand the current situation of the academic satisfaction(AS) of new seventh graders and the factors that influence it. This paper provides basis for corresponding educational countermeasures. Methods: A survey has been conducted for new seventh graders around Shihezi with the applying of AS scale. Results: the AS of new seventh graders is above that of the average. The AS when the school has been going on for ten weeks has no obvious improvement compared with that when the school is just open. The notable influences are: the changes of personality， physiology， family relationship and courses. Besides， whether students can adapt to the life of new school and the management style of the head teacher， together with their relationship with new peers are critical factors to the AS. Conclusion: the adaptive counseling of the psychology and study for new seventh graders should be implemented effectively in order to make a smooth transition between the primary school and the junior high school. Parents should cooperate with school and the tie between schools and parents should be strengthened further to cultivate the confidence and optimistic， active personality for students with enhanced AS and happiness.
