英文摘要 | Humanity is facing significant challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource depletion, and social injustice, making sustainable development a global focus. The United Nations established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, with education seen as a crucial pathway for enhancing environmental awareness, fostering global citizenship, and driving individual and societal transformation. Sustainable development requires the integration of expertise and skills from various fields, considering long-term impacts and the needs of future generations. Therefore, applying systems thinking to the formulation and implementation of educational policies is vital. Systems thinking emphasizes the interconnections among various components of the educational system, involving multiple stakeholders in the co-design and implementation of educational policies. This approach promotes cross-sector collaboration, incorporates diverse perspectives and resources, and creates synergistic effects, providing a holistic methodology. It also underscores the importance of tailoring educational programs to local contexts and needs, considering cultural and social backgrounds to ensure that policies effectively reflect and meet the actual demands of society. By applying systems thinking to educational policies, structural issues within the education system can be identified and addressed, promoting more equitable and effective educational opportunities. This paper discusses how to incorporate systems thinking into the core content of sustainable education, establishing a sustainable development education framework to cultivate future leaders and decision-makers with comprehensive thinking abilities. Enhancing sustainable development knowledge and practical skills at all levels will foster interdisciplinary collaboration and practice-oriented approaches, promoting synergy among governments, regional organizations, and educational institutions, ultimately achieving sustainable development goals. |
