中文摘要 | 本研究深度訪談30位受訪者,探討與記錄臺灣戒嚴時期(1949年5月20日~1987年7月14日)在威權體制下推動土風舞活動之過程與內涵。結果發現:(1)土風舞活動主要由救國團與教育部推廣;土風舞作為特殊的政治目的,仍有其「休閒聯誼」思維與「運動健康」技術操作上之運作方式。(2)編舞老師因應特殊時代的處境及課題,運用可獲得的音樂,展現其專業與智慧,配合舞蹈政策編創土風舞;編創具有「體操」與「遊戲」之舞蹈形式,亦是推動「全民運動」,形塑健身風格的骨架,成為代表戒嚴時期「全民運動」形式的舞蹈文化關鍵。本研究亦參考活動理論,討論戒嚴時期土風舞活動之主體(社群)、目標、工具、規則與分工,期盼有助於國人認識戒嚴時期土風舞活動之概況,持續探尋具臺灣本土特色之土風舞活動。

英文摘要 | This study investigates folk dance activity during the period of “Martial Law” in Taiwan, between 1958 and 1987. Folk dance was one of the “National Movements” which were specially promoted at this time. In-depth interviews conducted with 30 participants form the basis of this research. The main findings were that: (1) Folk dance activities were mainly introduced by the China Youth Corps and the Ministry of Education, becoming one of the “National Movements”; (2) Dance teachers used available music to choreograph the folk dances. Those folk dances which possess the forms of “gymnastics” and “game” formed the backbone of the “National Movements”. This study referenced activity theory to analyze subject (community), object, tools, rules, and the division of labor in folk dance activity.
