Southeast Asian countries are known as multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, and multi-cultural countries, which have made different efforts in promoting linguistic diversity, ethnic harmony and social development, and have shown multi-form language development styles and educational policies. This paper analyzes the development process of language education policies in the region and explores the corresponding development characteristics and trends as well.
