英文摘要 | For the Study on Academic Ideas of Top Leaders in the U.S. Instructional Technology (IT), this article provides a brief retrospect, discusses its original intent, significance and efforts, and reviews accomplishments and the unaccomplished of this project. In the exploration of IT history and fundamentals, the author draws a brief picture of IT development in the U.S. and proposes that the interaction between the two camps of Media and Learning is the inherent contradiction and internal dynamics for the growth of American IT. In this article, three lessons from American practice are drawn, and the author argues that, for deepening this project, more efforts should be focused on the academic life and mind of these top leaders. The author stresses that the research paradigm need to shift from following up to equal dialogue by improving quality. However, the competence to dialogue equally with colleagues in advanced countries depend on the strength of Chinese IT practice and the quality of theory building, especially in fundamental theory building and professional training. |
