Principal’s Trust-based Leadership: A Case Study of a Urban School

信任是高表現組織不可或缺的要素， 信任領導對於成員及組織有正向影響或關聯。成員信任關係的建立，是學校改革重要的關鍵，學校成員具有較高度的信任，將有助學校教育的改善。本研究以質性方法進行個案研究，透過個案學校校長的領導經驗，探究信任領導之核心內涵，將學校領導緊扣信任的概念。個案學校校長以建立信任為中心點，開展能力、誠信、關心和可信度等四個核心，呈現管理意義、建立關係、做成決定、影響成員、傳遞結果等五大作為。校長將信任為核心的領導架構予以具體化，並透過五大領導作為及策略，建構學校信任的文化。

Trust is an indispensable perspective for the high-performing organization. Trust-based leadership has positive impact or correlation upon staff and organization. Building staff trustful relationship is the key for school reform. The high level of trust among staff will improve the quality of schooling. The research used qualitative method to conduct case study, analyzed leadership experiences of the principal of a case school, connected school leadership with the concept of trust. The principal centered leadership on building trust, divided leadership into four dimensions: ability, integrity, care, and trustworthiness, as well as displayed five leadership behaviors: managing meaning, building relationship, making decision, and delivering result. The leadership framework of the principal embodied the core of trust, and established school trustful culture by using five leadership behaviors and strategies.
