Education Reform as a Complex Social and Systematic Project： Analysis of Gu Ming-yuan's View on Education Reform

Mr. Gu Ming-yuan has begun to use systematic thinking to explore the issue of education reform since the 1980s and 1990s . After a long-time development，he put forward that MEducation Reform is a Social Systematic Project' in 2004. He considered that education reform， as a social project，was influenced by the other facets of social system，such as marketing economy， politics and cultural tradition； furthermore， as a systematic project， educational reform contained many elements including educational thought，education system，curriculum，instruction， assessment system and reform path etc . Gu' view on education reform clearly pointed out the systemic nature of education reform，fully emphasized the ep- ochal character of education reform，and better explained the volatility of education reform .
