Cross-century Medical Education: Reform is the Eternal Theme

1910年的弗莱克斯纳报告开启了以科学为基础的现代医学教育时代，引领了20世纪全球医学教育的一系列改革。百年之后的医学教育面临新的挑战，以下四个方面需要重点关注并加以改革：在保证医学教育目标实现的前提下使教育过程更具灵活性；将整合的理念贯彻到课程设置和卫生服务过程中；创新性地运用新的信息技术，促进“以学生为中心”的主动学习；重视跨专业或跨行业团队合作能力的培养，以改善医疗卫生服务的质量。

The Flexner Report published in 1910 is widely credited with instigating important changes in medical education that have shaped today's scientifically oriented and rigorous system of training physicians. Dramatic shifts in society， health care， and educational practice over the century are again challenging medical education. Further reforms are needed especially in the following aspects: standardize learning outcomes and individualize the learning process; promote multiple forms of integration in learning and practice; adopt new technologies creatively and effectively to facilitate students' active learning and life -long learning; and put emphasis on inter-professional education to improve health care quality.
