新童年社会学是20世纪后期在欧美，特别是在英国、丹麦、挪威等国兴起的一场童年研究运动，其抛弃了那种植根于传统理论的、浪漫话语的、发展主义的“前社会的儿童”的研究模式，致力于改变社会科学对童年的忽视或仅限于从发展心理学和教育学的角度看待童年，而认为童年问题应当是当代社会学的中心议题之一。

The New Sociology of Childhood developed in the last two decades of the 20th century, especial in British, Denmark, Norway, etc. The New Sociology of Childhood is devoted to change neglected childhood in social science and see childhood as the central tissue of sociology.
