英文摘要 | From the perspective of a program under evaluation, this paper summarizes the process of creating an engineering program and preparing for ABET accreditation. After a brief introduction of ABET and the engineering program at East Carolina University, it describes with details work required for ABET accreditation, including personnel training, assessment plan, communication between the department and ABET, and day-to-day agenda during the ABET on-campus visit. It further provides improvement suggestions learned from this experience. The paper can serve as a practical guideline for Chinese universities that plan to pursue similar efforts. |
