美国教育界精英群体的分布特征及其原因分析

On the Features and Reasons of American educational elites Distribution

通过对《美国教育家传记辞典》、《美国现代教育家传记辞典》以及《美国国民传记辞典》所收录的教育家进行统计分析发现，自殖民地时期以来，美国知名教育家在出生时间和地区、学术活动阶段和地区、学术工作领域等方面呈现出鲜明的阶段和区域分布特征。在此基础上，作者分析了美国教育精英群体分布特征产生的原因，以探究教育家精英群体及其学术传统形成的社会过程。

Based on the data from Biographical Dictionary of American Educators， Biographical Dictionary of Modern American Educators and American National Biography.， American educational elites distribution features are analyzed， including the time and place of their birth， areas of academic activities， and fields of work， and some distinctive distribution features are found. And then the reasons of the distribution features are analyzed， so as to explore the social forming process of the educational elites and their academic traditions.
