中文摘要 | 在過去30年間,臺灣高等教育努力推動通識教學,並以通識教育評鑑來督促或評量其成果,歷經將近20年三個時期的評鑑,協助各校建立其通識教學之常規體制,呈現目前臺灣通識教學的豐富樣貌。通識教育評鑑確有其成效與功勞,然評鑑即將進入尾聲,中華民國通識教育學會乃提出「通識教育精進計畫」來承續並擴大評鑑的角色,也將許多作法予以改良及創新。其中最重要的核心精神,就是將輔導單位與合作學校視為長期夥伴關係,誠實面對或挖掘該校的弱點而不只是頌揚優點,量身訂作專屬的改善指標或策略,並協助擬具可行的計畫,以融入未來向教育部申請的深耕計畫中,鼓勵學校以所獲資源有效地執行並長期追蹤整體改善成效,期能使通識教學更上一層樓。 |
英文摘要 | The higher education sector in Taiwan has been striving to promote general education in the last three decades, and monitoring its performance and outcome through evaluation. With the processes of the three periods of evaluation in almost 20 years, every institution has built its general education system and accumulatively present a flourishing look of general education in Taiwan. However, this cycle of the evaluation is coming to the end, the Chinese Association for General Education thus proposes the “General Education Taiwan Upgrade Project” to carry on its spirit. This project is innovative in many ways with the most essential characteristic being the relationship between the advisory team and the cooperating institution. Long-term partner relationship is expected in which the focus is more on discovering true weaknesses within the institution instead of praising strengths. Improvement plan and indicators are tailor-made as a result of the cooperation and proposal is assisted to incorporate into future Higher Education Sprout Project if needed. It is anticipated that the institution will make the most use of the project fund and track progress and improvement over time to take its general education to the next level. |
