Professional Standards for School Leaders in England and Its Actual Examples

揆諸國際經驗，校長專業標準有助於促進校長的專業化，一則可供校長職前培育制度之參照，另則可引導校長專業成長課程之系統性規劃。臺灣迄今尚未建立全國性中小學校長標準，所謂「他山之石，可以攻錯」，雖然國情不同，但洞察英國校長專業標準亦可能發現有可供參照借鏡的地方，而有助於臺灣中小學校長之專業化。本文旨在分析英國校長專業標準及其應用實例，以文件分析為研究方法，主要目的包括：一、研覽有關研究文獻，以了解校長專業標準之有關觀點與研究；二、析論英國校長標準及其應用；三、運用英國校長專業標準之研析結果，引申出對於精進臺灣中小學校長之職前培訓及專業成長之啟示。

Due to lack of principal standards in Taiwan, it is helpful to review and understand the systems of principal standards established in other countries such as the United Kingdom so as to enhance professionalization of principals in Taiwan. Although it is beneficial to look to the UK systems, it is necessary to take local conditions and contexts into account so as to build a system of principal standards because of differences in terms of contexts and backgrounds between Taiwan and the UK. The purpose of this article is to examine the principal standard in the UK and its application. For the purposes of this article documentary analysis was employed.
