花蓮地區國小高年級學生月經態度及月經關懷行為之探討

A Study of Menstrual Attitude and Menstrual Caring Behavior among Elementary School Students in the Hualien Region

本研究在探討花蓮地區國小高年級學生月經態度、關懷行為之現況與相關性，以分層群集隨機抽樣法，選取花蓮地區6 所國民小學之高年級學生為對象，有效樣本共469 人。研究工具包括：個人基本資料、月經態度量表及月經關懷行為量表。發現：(1)四成以上學生自述從未和父母/家長討論過月經相關問題，初經已來女生七成以上發生過經期滲漏；校園中最嚴重的月經相關問題依序為「男生拿月經/衛生棉開玩笑」、「用過的衛生棉沒包好亂丟」及「女生常發生經期滲漏」。(2)月經態度平均得分為2.44  0.46 分；月經關懷行為平均得分為1.51  0.56 分。男女生之月經態度無統計上差異；男生自評月經關懷行為得分顯著高於女生對男生關懷行為之評分。(3)月經態度與月經關懷行為呈顯著正相關。依據研究結果，本文提出對學校進行月經教育之建議，研究結果亦可作為國民小學班級導師、健康教育老師進行月經教育之參考。

The purpose of this study was to explore the menstrual attitude and menstrual caring behavior among fifth and sixth grade elementary students. The subjects were 469 students from 6 elementary schools in Hualien,Taiwan. The stratified cluster random sampling method was adopted. The questionnaire used in the study consisted of three sections: personal information, a menstrual attitude questionnaire, and a menstrual caring behavior questionnaire. The results of this study indicate: (1) More than forty percent (40%) of the participants reported that they never discussed menstrual-related issues with their parents. Three quarters (75%) post-menarcheal students had experienced menstrual blood seepage. The three mostly seen menstrual related problems in school were (a) boys making jokes about menstruation or menstrual sanitation products, (b) the menstrual sanitary products not rolled up properly and deposited into the waste can, (c) girls often having menstrual blood seepage. (2) The mean score for menstrual attitude was 2.44  0.46 (possible score=1-4). Menstrual caring behavior was 1.51  0.56 (possible score=1-4). There were no significant differences between menstrual attitudes and gender for elementary students. The score boys self-rated on Menstrual caring behavior was significantly higher than the score girls rated on them when the behavior observed in the classroom. (3) There were statistically significant correlations between menstrual attitudes and menstrual caring behaviors among elementary school students. Accordingly, suggestions were given to homeroom teachers, health care teachers, and parents of adolescents to help elementary student[‘s accept menstruation as a natural process and encourage students to form menstrual caring behavior in their daily interactions.
