On June 10 2009，the USA released a new report called The Opportunity Equation: Transforming Mathematics and Science Education for Citizenship and the Global Economy. The report calls on an imperative reform on math and science education as the USA has consistently paid attention to math and science education and there are many problems in math and science education. The report appeals to establish higher standards for the nation in math and science and to recruit and produce more excellent teachers for math and science education. There are positive responses to the advice put forward by the report from different groups. A new round of reform has started in science and math education.
