New South Wales， one of the most developed areas in economy， culture and education in Australia， has a long history of government funding for non-government schools and has formulated an actual funding framework. This paper describes the funding history， illustrates the recent funding programs and funding methods and introduces the future funding developmental proposals in New South Wales. Finally， it also gives an analysis on the role that state governments play in the field of funding for non-government schools in Australia.
