Student academic dishonesty in American higher education institutions is a common phenomenon， to which scholars have provided theoretical explanations from different perspectives. Generally speaking individual moral development， personal characteristics and surroundings are the factors affecting academic dishonesty. Based on this understanding， American colleges and universities have taken measures regarding the creation of favorable academic environment and the correction of student academic dishonesty. These valuable experiences can be used as a rsference for integrity education in our college and universities
