英文摘要 | Teacher education has undergone a rapid and complicated transformation since the 1990s in the context of democratization in South Africa. Numerous and weighty policy documents on teacher education have been issued by the government. However, as many policies ignored the conditions on the ground, their implementation was not desirable. In order to co-ordinate present policies and solve the problem of teacher shortage and under-qualification, the government formulated The National Policy Framework for Teacher Education and Development in South Africa. The transformation of teacher education policies in South Africa has practical implications for us. |
