中文摘要 | 由于受历史、文化及宗教信仰的影响,埃塞俄比亚妇女接受高等教育的比例一直很低。虽然政府在教育政策中明确提出对妇女特别关照,如针对”发展中”地区的女性实行降分录取的”确认行动计划”等,但女性接受高等教育的情况并不理想。通过对得巴布大学女生情况的分析,可以发现女生辍学人数偏高、毕业生人数偏少等问题并没有明显好转。这在某种程度上说明埃塞俄比亚的教育平等政策苍白无力,其文化、风俗、传统观念、价值和信仰等社会因素有着根深蒂固的影响力。 |
英文摘要 | The proportion of women students in higher education has been low in Ethiopia due to historical, cultural and faith factors. Although the government has taken some educational policies to protect women to receive higher education, for example “affirmative action program ” in order to lower the threshold to women from “developing” area, the situation has no improved much. The analysis of Debub University reveals that dropout rate is high and the graduation rate is low for female students. It indicates that social and cultural factors maybe more influential than equality policy in education. |
