大学生基础阶段英语学习与认同变化跟踪--综合大学英语专业样本报告

Chinese students' English learning and identity changes in the first two college years—A longitudinal study on English majors in a comprehensive university

本研究结合量和质的方法，考察了综合大学英语专业本科生在一、二年级基础阶段英语学习过程中自我认同的变化。研究发现，文化认同变化在入学初就有一定程度的存在，随着对目的语文化内在兴趣的持续增强，两年中文化认同变化在广度和深度上都有所增加。[削减性]认同变化在两年中出现了显著性上升，与英语学习相联系的复杂的态度和情感逐渐凸现出来。

This longitudinal study investigated Chinese students' identity changes associated with English learning in the first two years of their college life. The participants were 50 English majors in a comprehensive university in China. Analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data showed that upon entering college students had already sensed such identity changes to some degree. In the following two years identity changes deepened with their increased knowledge of and interest in the target language and culture， and a significant increase was found in [subtractive change]. Students' attitudes towards English learning demonstrated some ambivalence and complexity.
