当前美国中小学关于历史教学的争论

肖恩‧威伦茨在1997年4月20日的《纽约时报》上发表了题为[历史不是一个过程]的文章，从而引发了一场关于美国中小学历史教学问题的争论。这场争论是20世纪美国史学发展的产物，它反映了当前美国史学界在研究方向和方法上存在的分歧，对我国当前的历史教育改革有很强的借鉴作用。

In Apr. 20， 1997， Scan Wilentz published an article named[The History Is Not A Process in Times.]It had to the debating about the history education in American School. This debating is a production of the development of American historiography in the 20century. It reflected the divaricating in way and method of American historiography. We could draw lessons from certain experiences.
