本論文的重要性在於指出教育組織與企業的營運目的雖然有所不同,但兩者在促進社會永續發展的最終目標並無二致。國民教育被視為形塑人民觀念最重要、最根本、最有效的方法,教育現場如何將聯合國永續發展教育ESD的理念透過校園活動、課程實施以建立學子價值觀,並寄望未來的世界公民在執行企業永續發展指標ESG時,能由其內在價值驅動,最終達成永續發展的目標。
本研究旨在探討如何透過聯合國永續發展目標SDGs理念與ESG架構,以全校性經營模式WSA發展出具系統性的永續教育實踐模式。藉由W高中的具體實例,說明學校如何配合教育主管機關的環境永續、校園屋頂太陽光電、班班有冷氣政策及十二年國教課綱中的永續議題,在場域設施、行政管理、校園活動以及課程教學中落實永續發展的理念。
本研究採用個案研究方法,以桃園市一所公立高中為研究對象。以訪談學校師生、蒐集學校政策及會議資料,對個案學校在ESD的實踐進行深入分析,以瞭解教育現場在永續發展上所展現的具體成果。研究發現:如同以ESG指標評估企業的模式,學校可用此架構檢視校務經營,實務上可從「場域設施規劃、永續價值形塑、活動規劃推動」三面向瞭解學校在永續發展教育ESD實踐的具體成果。
英文摘要
The significance of this study lies in its articulation of a fundamen¬tal convergence between educational organizations and business enter¬prises: although their operational purposes differ, both ultimately share a common goal of advancing social sustainability. Compulsory education is widely regarded as the most essential, foundational, and effective means of shaping citizens’values and worldviews. Accordingly, a critical issue in contemporary education concerns how schools translate the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) advocated by the United Nations into campus-based activities and curricular practices, thereby cultivating students’sustainability-oriented values. It is further anticipat¬ed that future global citizens, when implementing corporate sustainabil¬ity indicators under the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, will be guided by these internalized values, thus contributing to the realization of sustainable development as an overarching societal objective.
This study aims to explore how a systematic model of sustainability education can be developed through the integration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the ESG framework within a Whole School Approach (WSA). Drawing on the concrete case of W Senior High School, the study illustrates how a school aligns its practices with national educational policies—such as environmental sustainability initiatives, rooftop solar photovoltaic installations, the“air-conditioning in every classroom”policy, and sustainability-related themes embedded in the Twelve-Year Basic Education Curriculum—to operationalize the principles of sustainable development across campus facilities, adminis¬trative management, school-wide activities, and classroom instruction.
Employing a case study methodology, this research examines a pub¬lic senior high school in Taoyuan City as its focal case. Data were collect¬ed through interviews with teachers and students, as well as through the analysis of school policies and meeting documents, in order to conduct an in-depth investigation of the school’s ESD practices and to elucidate the tangible outcomes of sustainability efforts within the educational setting. The findings suggest that, analogous to the use of ESG indicators in eval¬uating corporate performance, schools may adopt the ESG framework as an analytical lens for reviewing and reflecting upon school management. In practice, the outcomes of ESD implementation can be examined across three key dimensions: campus facilities and infrastructure planning, the cultivation of sustainability values, and the design and promotion of sus¬tainability.
