問：請簡單介紹您個人的學術歷程？這段經歷對您有什麼意義？
答：我投入教育研究已經40年，學術生涯可說經歷了不少曲折。我在1975年自牛津大學英語文學系畢業；隨後的13年，我在倫敦的成人教育機構及進修學院擔任講師。

Q: Can you describe your academic career path? What has this experience meant to you?
A: I have been involved in educational research for 40 years now, and my career path has inevitably had some twists and turns. I graduated with a degree in English Literature from Oxford University in 1975 and subsequently spent 13 years working as a lecturer in adult education institutes and further education colleges in London.
