Education for Culture：Youth Nietzsche’s Idea of Education

青年尼采把现代教育看做是为生存的教育，为大众的国民教育，售卖知识的学术教育。他心仪的是为文化的教育，这种教育关注的不是尘世幸福，而是满足生命渴求的永恒的形而上冲动，旨在使人成为有文化的人，以实现生命的最高意义。他批判德国中学的经典教育已经名存实亡、真正的经典教育在于让受教育者服从伟大经典，倾听伟大心灵的对话和独白，受其指引成长为关注生命中最重要事情的人。

Youth Nietzsche thought of the modern education as the education for existence， the people education which should cultivate “the currency person”， as well as the academic education which should sell knowledge. He admired he education for culture， which does care about the world happiness， but satisfies the life with metaphysical impulse which seeks to cultivate the cultural man and realizes the utmost significance of life. He criticized that the German middle school in which classical education already had been existing in name only， and the true classical education should be the one that initiate students the great classics and great minds so as to make them to pay attention to the most important matter of life.
