英美发达国家很早就注重大学与小区互动发展关系的研究，并已有一些成功的经验和做法。反观我国大学与小区互动现状，尚处起歩阶段，不可避免地存在种种问题。为此，需借鉴国外一成熟的做法，以思考和改进国内大学与小区间互动的措施。

Both US and British researchers have attached much importance to the study of relation between colleges and communities and have got some remarkable achievements. However the mutual communication of colleges and communities in our country is still on the beginning stage and many problems must be resolved. Therefore it is necessary for us to make use of the Western countries experiences so as to improve ours.
