英文摘要 | This paper illustrates the background, promotion and issues of FD in Japan. In the context of globalization, marketization and knowledge-based society, Japan has begun to conduct higher education reforms with a focus on academic profession and FD since 1980’s. Quality assurance of education is important as a principle of FD, especially when higher education has been shifting to the massification or even universal stage. It is necessary to promote FD to a new stage both at theory and practice level in the 21st. Century. In this reconsideration of scholarship is needed too. |
