The independent recruitment as well as the specialization and normalization of entrance examination are two remarkable tendencies in reforming the admission systems of higher education. The different recruitment systems of different universities， from different regions and in different periods are the results of combination of different entrance examinations and recruitment policies. The recruitment reforms conducted by Fudan University and Shanghai Jiao-tong University will help to promote the independent entrance examination of Chinese universities.
