In the context of common goals for student learning， the researchers and administrators of American Higher Education call for the enhancement of academic and student affairs collaboration. Particular emphasis of this article is placed on the trend of academic and student affairs collaboration. This article reviews the background of academic and student affairs collaboration firstly， and discusses the collaboration both from theoretical and practical aspects with two successful examples of collaboration in American Universities. Finally， several pointes are raised that need to be carefully thought about.
