Reviewing Several Problems about University Culture and University Spirit

大学文化可以有狭义与广义之分，它的形成是诸多因素综合作用的产物，其中主要有领导方式、教学和科研活动特点、教师行为风格、师生效往方式、学生治学精神、校园环境氛围等。而大学精神主要指在大学文化中所体现出来的那些一贯的、持久的、为全体成员所共享的、并引以为豪的大学文化理念和文化质量，它既指大学中全体成员的言行中所渗透的一种主导意识，也指他们所具有的精神活力状况和精神气质。大学精竟又是会流变的，这种流变在质变与量变方面具有两极性。在大学文化建设中要有文化自觉性。

University culture can be defined into both narrow and broad senses. Its formation is the result of joint working of including：the leading style， the features of teaching and research， the pattern of the professor’s behavior， the model of the intercourse between the professors and students， the spirit of the students for learning， the environments and the atmosphere of the university， etc. What’s the concept of the university spirit is the consistent philosophy and the character of university culture which is shared and proud of by everyone. It is not only a kind of dominant consciousness penetrated in the behavior of all the members， but also the status of the spiritual vigor and spiritual temperament. The university spirit is changeable. This kind of transformation is dipolar in the quantitative and qualitative change. The cultural consciousness is needed in enriching university culture.
