Principles of Medical Theory and Practice: A Medical Humanities Special Study Module at Charite, Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany

德国柏林洪堡大学查理特医学院及其附属医院于1999年开始实施医学课程改革，开发了一种名叫《医学理论与实践原理》的医学人文学科特殊学习模块(SSM)，将人文学科整合到医学教育中，帮助学生认识现代医学的优点和局限性，发展他们的人格和社会责任感以及拓宽他们的视野。该课程以研讨班形式进行，1个研讨班由12次课组成，学生在5年的学习中要参加4个研讨班。虽然医学人文学科SSM总体上取得了成功，但仍然有一些问题，这一革新的课程模式还必须不断地进行评价和更新。

In 1999， Reformed Medical Curriculum was implemented at the Charite， the medical school and university hospital of the Humboldt University， Berlin， Germany. They developed a medical humanities special study module (SSM) called Principles of Medical Theory and Practice. Integrating the humanities into the medical education helps students develop an awareness of the strengths and limitations of modern medicine， develop their own personalities and sense of social responsibility， and generally broaden their outlook. This curriculum goes on in the form of seminar. Twelve courses constitute a seminar. Students are required to participate in four seminars during five years of studies. Although the medical humanities SSM has been successful on the whole， there have been some problems. This curriculum track still needs to be reviewed and renewed continuously.
