英文摘要 | This article introduces the concept of teacher secondment, as an exploration in strengthening teacher professional development. Over the past decades, many researchers started querying the effectiveness of the traditional teacher training approach, and exploring new possibilities in teacher training that treasure teachers’ autonomy, participation and reflection. This article suggests that teacher secondment can be taken as a form of teacher development opportunity in order to overcome the limitations of the traditional training approach. Based on a case study of a teacher secondment programme under an university-school partnership project in Hong Kong, this article discusses the significance of this specific experience on teachers’ professional growth. |
