中文摘要 | “文质彬彬”在今天”多用于形容人文雅有礼貌”。追溯本源,它出自《论语》,原指人的文采和质实配合均匀,包含着”文与质和谐发展”的教育意蕴。孔子提出的这一论人标准和育人规格,是其教育哲学的核心理念之一。孔子当年还提出要防止”质胜文”或”文胜质”现象,遗憾的是人类在创造文化一歩歩远离”质胜文”的野蛮时代的同时,越来越受文化制约,以致出现”文胜质”现象。初歩的”知识考古”表明,”文质彬彬”词义的历史演化正是这一趋势的典型缩影。在以”和谐”为主旋律的今天,极需借鉴历代思想家对”重文轻质”倾向的反省与批判,赋予”文质彬彬”新的时代内涵,实施文质双向关照、协调发展的和谐教育。 |
英文摘要 | Today, the idiom “Wen Zhi Binbin” is usually used to describe people who are gentle and polite. Traced to the origin, it came from “the Analects” and referred to the balanced uniform of “nature and culture”. It implicated the educational meaning of “harmonious development of Wen and Zhi”. The standards of evaluating and fostering people proposed by Confucius is one of the core concepts in his educational philosophy. Confucius also proposed to prevent the trends of “Zhi exceeding Wen” or “Wen exceeding Zhi”. However, it is regrettable that people have become more and more constrained by culture when they were creating culture to step away from age of barbarism where “Zhi exceed Wen, which has led to the phenomenon of “Wen exceeding Zhi”. Preliminary “knowledge archeology” indicates that the historic evolution of the connotation of “Wen Zhi Binbin” is just the typical microcosm of the trend. Nowadays, in the society themed with harmony, it is urgent to make a reference to the reflection and criticism on “emphasizing Wen while belittling Zhi by great thinkers in history, to bestow new meaning on “Wen Zhi Binbin”, and implement harmonious education with “Wen and Zhi” mutually and collaboratively developed. |
