中文摘要 | 本研究首先回顧近期對大學新鮮人電腦及資訊智能之研究報告,之後敘述在2002學年初於南台灣兩所大學對數群任意挑選之商業及管理學院新鮮人施行電腦智能測試評估之結果。相對於越來越多大學教師強調學生的資訊智能,電腦智能是有效率使用電腦工具的基礎。電腦智能測試在學生接受進一步教導前施行,採試卷形式,範圍包含電腦一般概念到環保等八方面,亦收集學生的性格特徵以執行交叉分析,結果顯示受測抽樣新鮮人的電腦智能程度偏低,無人達及格分數;即使這些學生有豐富的電腦使用經驗,但仍停留在初階的電腦及網路使用者。面對這些新鮮人,不可假設其電腦智能足夠;相對地,建議採仔細的評估,再加上後續有系統的指導與複習。 |
英文摘要 | This article first reviews recent reports on computing and information literacy skills of incoming freshmen and then describes results from a computing literacy skills evaluation test. The test was administered to several groups of randomly selected freshmen enrolled in business and management schools at the beginning of 2002 academy year at two universities in Taiwan. While more and more instructors in colleges focus on the information literacy skills of the students, the computing literacy skills are the foundation of effectively manipulating computing tools. The computing literacy skills were evaluated before instruction using a questionnaire covering eight aspects ranging from general concepts of computer cross-analyses. The results show that their performance is very poor and non achieved a passing score. Even those freshmen can be considered as being quite experienced in using computers;however, they are still in the phase of surface computer users and Internet surfers. The entering college students cannot be assumed to be computer literate enough;rather, a careful assessment and then systematic guides and reviews are recommended. |
