Review and Prospects of School Effectiveness Research：Based on the View of Content Analysis
The paper analyzes the school effectiveness research in the Mainland of China by the method of content analysis. The results show that over the past fifteen years school effectiveness research presents the following characteristics：subjects of study were extended， but lack of the depth; researchers were mostly from colleges， while primary and secondary educators were difficult to get involved; basic research were preferred， while applied research and development research were paid less attention; research methods were getting diversified， but quantitative study less; researches focused on different aspects of the same theme， however， it was still lack of integrated theoretical system. Overall， the school effectiveness research is still at an early stage in the Mainland of China. In view of this， it should be the general trend of school effectiveness research to build the basic theories of school effectiveness and constantly improve the localization of its research paradigms in the future.
