華人新媒體對美國總統大選報導的觀察

A Review About Overseas Chinese New Media In 2020 U.S. Presidential Election

本文選擇主要來自美、加地區華人經營的政治評論性新媒體，針對他們在2020年美國總統大選後所做的報導進行整理歸納，我們在YouTube篩選了訂閱人數在10萬人以上的頻道，其中與新唐人電視有關的YouTube頻道訂閱人數則須在50萬人以上，並刪去影片內容流於爆料浮誇的頻道。針對這些新媒體在「政權過度事件」、「大選後各種公聽會」及他們發掘獨特訊息來源的內容，本文比較了這些新媒體與臺灣媒體報導上的差異。除了得知他們對總統過度事件的原貌做了更全面的報導，曝光美國民主制度中的不光彩；他們也記錄下選後美國民眾親身經歷的各種選舉問題，各種全程轉播的公聽會影片與重點短片留下這個時代的記錄；由於他們對特定資訊的關注，也讓華人閱聽者得知CNN的雙重標準、以及中國學者鋪陳出利益關係複雜的中美關係。這些華人時論新媒體有非常鮮明的立場，也因此在選後的報導中屢屢犯錯，評論失準。大紀元媒體集團的兩個英文頻道選後期間的訂閱數都有大幅成長，但使用中文的華人新媒體則變動不大，顯示他們的報導未能受閱聽人的普遍認同，由於YouTube的審查制度，也使他們必須另外尋找新的影音平台發佈訊息，以區塊鏈架構、擁有言論自由空間的odysee.com成為華人新媒體的最終選項。

This article selected new media run by overseas Chinese in the United States and Canada, reviewed their reports and comment about the 2020 U.S. presidential election. We screened channels with more than 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. Among them, the number of subscribers of the YouTube channel related to NTD TV group must be more than 500,000. Selecting ＂regime transition incident＂, ＂public hearings after the election＂, this article compared differences of the report's content between these overseas Chinese new media and Taiwanese media. We found overseas Chinese new media made a more comprehensive report about the regime transition incident; they also broadcasted different election problems experienced by the American people in various public hearings. By their effort, Chinese readers could also learn about CNN's double standards and the real Sino-US relations released from a Chinese scholars. Of cause, these Chinese new media made terrible mistakes and inaccurate comments. The number of subscriptions of two English channels of The Epoch Media Group during the post-election period had grown significantly, but the new media that used Chinese to broadcast didn't change a lot. It indicated their report and comment didn't get recognition by Chinese readers. Due to YouTube's censorship, it is necessary for these overseas Chinese new media to find a new platform to release information. Odysee.com, which based on a block chain, became their ultimate choice.
