A Study of the Relationship between Chinese Language Proficiency and Language Attitude of Uygur Students in Xinjiang： Taking Parents' Attitude towards Chinese as an Intermediary
新疆地区维吾尔族学生对于汉语的书写能力较强，倾听、阅读和语言交流能力一般，运用汉语进行独 立思维的综合能力较弱；学生汉语语言能力会受到不同环境的影响；学生汉语语言能力与学生汉语语言态度及其 家长汉语语言态度之间呈显著正相关;家长汉语语言态度在学生汉语语言态度与学生汉语语言能力的相互关系中 起到中介作用，同时家长语言态度的认知、情感、行为三个维度分别在学生语言态度的认知、情感、行为三个维度与 学生语言能力的关系中起到部分中介作用。
In order to explore the relationship among Uygur Students’ Chinese language attitude， their parents’ Chinese language attitude and the students’ Chinese language ability， the study surveyed 1338 students and their parents in seven elementary and middle schools in Altay，Aksu and Kashgar in Xinjiang using “Jighur Chinese Questionnaire on Language Attitudes and Use of Language” and Questionnaire on Uyghur Parents’ Attitude and Use of Chinese Language”. The results showed that Uyghur students had high proficiency in Chinese writing but lower proficiency in Chinese listening，reading and speaking skills； the overall ability of using Chinese for independent thinking was relatively weak； students’ Chinese language ability was influenced bydifferent environments; students’ attitudes toward Chinese language and their parents’ attitudes towards Chinese language were significantly positively correlated; and parents’ a-titudes toward Chinese language played an intermediary role in the relationship between students’ attitudes toward Chinese language and students' language ability. At the same time，the three dimensions of behavior respectively played partial intermediary role in the relationship between the three dimensions of student’s language attitude of cognition，emotion and behavior and students’ language ability.
