英文摘要 | During the past forty years, the reconstruction of the discipline of History of Education has not been very effective; ignoring the essentiality of the discipline itself is a key reason. Through scrutinizing some typical textbooks and research, it is found that the discipline of History of Education, influenced by the traditional education theory and linear historical view, is limited to the transformation of formal schooling. This results in the parochial research area, as well as the twisted interpretation of History of Education* making the discipline run into a dilemma. This paper holds that, in reconstructing the discipline of History of Education, it is important to recognize the essentiality of the discipline, and emphasize that its research objective covers all the social activities conducted by human beings in the past, as well as the synchrony and diachrony of these activities. |
